Three separate suites named after aristocratic dynasties which owned Chateau Loučeň in the past have been opened for discerning clients on the first floor of the chateau, the spectacular piano nobile.
The first and largest, blue suite is named after the Waldstein family which built the chateau at the start of the 18th century and is decorated in a Baroque style. The second family to own the chateau were the Fürstenbergs, whom the red suite which is decorated in a Classicist style is named after. The last owners of the chateau were the Thurn-Taxis family. The last, green suite is named after them.
You will find the Waldstein, Fürstenberg and Thurn – Taxis suites right next to the chateau exhibition and they share an entrance with the restaurant in the courtyard. All suites have a large bathroom with a bath and shower cubicle. A bath tub in the centre of the bathroom is a dominant feature of the Thurn – Taxis suite.
