Maxmilian Lifestyle Resort is located in the quiet central Bohemian village of Loučeň on the border of the Nymburk (11km) and Mladá Boleslav (18km) districts. It is 55 km from the centre of Prague and is very easily accessible via the D11 motorway (in the direction of Hradec Králové) and R10 (in the direction of Liberec).
The building which originally served as an office building for the Thurn-Taxis estate and which dates back to 1843 has been used as a chateau hotel since 2003 and a modern extension was added in 2007.
The village of Loučeň is set in a landscape of sprawling forests and upland sitting above the Polabí Lowlands – the dominant forest area bears the romantic name St. George’s Forest. The forests here are in particular suitable for cycling, walking and swimming in natural pools. In the surrounding area, you will find traces of the influence of famous personalities (Bedřich Smetana, Bohumil Hrabal, Tycho de Brahe etc.), several museums, a lookout tower and also the picturesque Chleby mini zoo.
